In pursuit of the divine, we lose ourselves,

In hopes of reaching higher realms, we delve,

We seek escape from this mortal plane,

To find eternal peace, and freedom from pain.

We lose ourselves in the pleasures of prayer,

In chanting mantras and breathing in air,

We find solace in the comfort of faith,

And the knowledge that our souls, will soon take.

Lost in the ecstasy of devotion,

We forget the world, and all its commotion,

Our minds and bodies consumed by the flame,

Of the divine light, that we can't contain.

But what happens when we can't let go,

When we become addicted to the flow,

Of the lifestyle of godhead, we seek to embrace,

And lose ourselves in it, without a trace.

Does it give us strength or take it away?

Do we find peace or become lost in the fray?

Is the addiction worth the sacrifice?

Or do we become consumed by the paradise?

For the godhead may offer eternal bliss,

But it can also lead us down the abyss,

And in the end, we must find our way back,

And remember that we are still human, not a hack.
