Review by Scott Lawlor: Prone To Sending Empty-Handed Telegrams To Shallow People is a fascinating sonic journey moving through 4 very distinct and different styles, beginning with the neo-classical avant gard of As Folders Of Time Assemble, The Unequal Games For The Throne Thrive. Here we are treated to delicate yet somewhat chaotic piano playing through lush reverb, seeming to tell a story of the ascension of power of a ruler over his subjects and the consequential inequity of such an unlikely climb to the top.
Next, we move to a track that has more of a world music sound, Decisions Are Dynamic Jokes We Whisper To The Universe Which Evolves Separately Of Us, All The While, The People Around Us Usually Evolve Backwards. If the universe had an emotion, it would be expressed through the melancholic sound of sadness at witnessing the evolutionary decay of the people of the Earth and she would long for the hope of a return to enlightenment, but the knowledge that this won't occur creates eternal sadness which is captured perfectly in this requiem signifying the loss of hope and faith in the human experience.
The harmonies and use of instrumentation are exquisite and this is perhaps my favorite track on the album.
Assort Primitive Passiveness is the most avant gard track on the album, utilizing saxophone, piano and tabla and we return to the drone with Bane Against Smut, All You Can See In The News Are Ideal Corpses And The Surreal Beatitudes Of Chechen Surnames.
Wings of an Angel has once again demonstrated his imaginative approach to sonic alchemy as well as his ability to draw out images in the listener through his poetic titles. Another gem in his ever-expanding catalog of constantly evolving creativity.

"As an ensemble of different styles. The music is extremely pleasant and I particularly enjoyed the jazzy elements, perhaps a great melodic harmony that stay within the boundaries creating interesting textures, different atmospheres.
The fourth track seems a little distinguished from the others, quite solemn, but not less exquisite"

This album makes you feel like you're inside an old computer that is on it's last legs. Everything is glitchy, aggressive, and decaying around you. There are only a few moments where it feels something is still functioning and intact, only to be followed by more sounds of disrepair. Truly a special experience. icu8some2
